Single-Use Fentanyl Test Strip 1 pc.
In our offer we present the fentanyl test – an exceptionally sensitive immunoassay strip test designed for preliminary screening to determine whether a substance sample may contain fentanyl or its derivatives. The test performs particularly well when analysing benzodiazepines, opioids and other substances in which fentanyl can appear as a dangerous contaminant.
Fentanyl test – immunoassay strip test
Fentanyl is an extremely potent synthetic opioid, with derivatives that can be 50–100 times stronger than heroin and are responsible for a significant proportion of opioid overdose deaths. Fentanyl can be lethal in amounts invisible to the naked eye and is often found in counterfeit medications, opioids, non-opioid “research chemicals”, and even in common recreational drugs such as cocaine. In mixtures with heroin, cocaine or other substances it never distributes evenly, meaning two doses from the same package may contain different amounts of the active substance. For this reason, harm-reduction practice recommends testing every portion of material before use.
Detects trace amounts of fentanyl and selected derivatives in the prepared solution.
Allows identification of dangerous contaminants responsible for most severe opioid poisonings and overdoses.
Clear result visible within a few minutes after dipping the strip in the solution.
Step-by-step instructions
Prepare the sample
According to the manufacturer's recommendations, weigh approximately 100 mg of material. For an opioid or benzodiazepine tablet, crush the entire tablet in a plastic bag, pour the powder out, add around 10 drops of water and mix thoroughly. For powder, dissolve 100 mg of the sample in 200 ml of water and obtain a uniform solution.
Apply the reagent
Dip the test strip into the prepared solution no higher than the thick MAX line. The manufacturer recommends keeping the strip in the solution for approximately 15 seconds, without exceeding the indicated level.
Observe the reaction
Remove the strip from the solution and place it on a flat, dry surface. Wait 3–5 minutes. One control line (C) without a test line (T) indicates a positive result, while two lines (C+T) indicate a negative result. A faint test line counts as a visible line.
Disposal
Dispose of the used strip in household waste. Pour the solution down the drain and rinse the container with water. Store tests in a dry, cool place, in their original packaging, away from children.
Interpretation of results
-
POSITIVE RESULT: One line (C)
Indicates the presence of fentanyl or its derivatives above the test detection threshold (approximately 10 ng/ml for fentanyl). Assume that the substance may contain a potentially lethal opioid dose and exercise utmost caution.
-
NEGATIVE RESULT: Two lines (C + T)
No fentanyl detected above the sensitivity threshold. However, the result does not guarantee that the substance is safe – the test does not detect all possible contaminants and does not replace professional laboratory analysis.
-
INVALID RESULT: No lines
The test was performed incorrectly or the strip is damaged. In such case, repeat the procedure using a new strip and a freshly prepared sample solution.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- The fentanyl test we offer is an immunoassay strip test designed for qualitative detection of trace amounts of fentanyl, nitazenes and selected derivatives in tested samples.
- The tests available in our store have been independently verified and show high sensitivity in detecting fentanyl and its analogues – from 10 ng/ml for fentanyl to 100–1000 ng/ml for selected derivatives.
- The test uses antibody reaction to detect fentanyl in solution. One line (C) means a positive result, while two lines (C+T) mean a negative result. Even a faint test line is considered present.
- False positives may occur with overly concentrated samples or in the presence of high vitamin C levels; in such cases the manufacturer recommends diluting the sample and repeating the test.
- Tests should be stored in sealed foil pouches, in a dry and cool place. When working with samples, gloves and protective eyewear are recommended.
