We present in our offer a test for nitazenes – an exceptionally sensitive strip-based immunoassay designed for preliminary detection of synthetic opioids from the benzomidazole group in various laboratory samples. The product allows quick verification of whether the tested material may contain nitazenes or their derivatives, which even in very small amounts can pose a serious danger.

Nitazene test – immunological strip test

Nitazenes (benzomidazoles) are extremely potent synthetic opioids, often found in counterfeit medications and mixtures with heroin, cocaine or other substances – the powder is often unevenly mixed, meaning a single dose may contain a potentially lethal amount of the compound.

🔍
Analysis

Allows detection of trace amounts of nitazenes in the sample solution.

🛡️
Safety

Enables identification of dangerous opioid contaminants responsible for numerous overdose cases.

Speed

Clear results visible after 3–5 minutes of strip immersion.

Step-by-step instructions

01

Prepare the sample

Dissolve approximately 100 mg of material in a small amount of water and mix thoroughly to obtain a uniform solution.

02

Reagent application

Immerse the strip into the solution up to the MAX line. Do not exceed the marking to avoid affecting the test result.

03

Observation

Place the strip on a flat surface and wait 3–5 minutes. One line indicates a positive result (presence of nitazenes), two lines indicate a negative result.

04

Disposal

Dispose of the used strip in mixed waste. Pour the solution down the drain and rinse the container with water. Store tests in a dry and cool place.

Interpretation of results

  • POSITIVE RESULT: One line (C)

Indicates detection of nitazenes or their derivatives in the sample. Exercise extreme caution – the substance may contain a potentially lethal dose of a powerful synthetic opioid.

  • NEGATIVE RESULT: Two lines (C + T)

No nitazenes detected above the test sensitivity threshold (approx. 10 ng/ml). However, a negative result does not guarantee that the substance is safe or free from other contaminants.

  • INVALID RESULT: No lines

The test was performed incorrectly or the strip is damaged. The test must be repeated using a new strip.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a nitazene test and what is it used for? +-
  • The nitazene test we offer is a strip-based immunological test containing antibodies sensitive to nitazenes and many of their derivatives. It is intended for preliminary qualitative detection of trace amounts of nitazenes at around 10 ng/ml, sufficient to exclude particularly dangerous levels of these compounds.
How do nitazene strip tests work and how should the result be interpreted? +-
  • The nitazene test is based on antibody reaction with nitazene molecules present in the diluted sample. According to the manufacturer's recommendations, dissolve the sample in water, immerse the strip up to the MAX line, wait 3–5 minutes and read the result. One line (C) indicates nitazene detection, two lines (C+T) indicate no detection above the sensitivity threshold – even a faint test line counts as a negative result.
Does the test definitively confirm or exclude the presence of nitazenes? +-
  • The nitazene test is a screening tool and does not provide absolute certainty. Strips can detect benzomidazoles at very low concentrations, but overly concentrated samples or the presence of other substances (e.g., high stimulant levels or vitamin C) may cause false positives. Even a negative result does not guarantee that the substance is safe.
Is purchasing and owning nitazene tests legal? +-
  • The nitazene tests we offer are legal chemical reagents, compliant with EU Directive 2019/1148. Purchasing and owning the tests is allowed, but this does not change the legal status of the substances being tested nor does it permit their possession or distribution.
How to safely use and store the nitazene test? +-
  • According to the manufacturer, use protective gloves and goggles during sample handling and avoid direct contact with the powder or solution. Store test strips in the original, tightly sealed packaging, in a cool and dry place, do not freeze, and use before the printed expiry date.
