Colorimetrics Testosterone Test Kit
In our offer we present the Testosterone Test – a specialist colorimetric kit designed for the qualitative detection of testosterone esters, such as cypionate, enanthate, propionate and Sust-250-type blends in oil-based anabolic steroid solutions. The test allows preliminary verification of whether the analysed preparation actually contains the declared testosterone ester.
Testosterone test – kit for the identification of anabolic steroids
The falsification of testosterone preparations is a serious problem on the illegal market. The offered kit uses STEROID ID™ technology, in which a characteristic colour change of the solution after contact with the sample indicates the presence of testosterone. Thanks to this, the user does not have to rely solely on the vial label or unverified information.
Allows the detection of trace amounts of testosterone esters (cypionate, enanthate, propionate, Sust-250-type blends) in oil-based solutions.
Enables the identification of dangerous falsifications and composition discrepancies that may increase the risk of adverse effects.
A clear colorimetric result usually appears within a few minutes after adding the sample to the reagents.
Step-by-step instructions
Prepare the sample
According to the manufacturer’s recommendations, take a few drops of the tested oil-based testosterone solution from the vial into a clean vessel or prepare it directly at the workspace. Make sure that all accessories are dry and free from residues of other substances.
Reagent application – step A
Open the first test ampoule (step A) and, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, add a small amount of the sample to it (usually 2–3 drops). Gently shake to thoroughly mix the oil with the reagent.
Reagent application – step B
After the time specified by the manufacturer has elapsed, open the second ampoule (step B) and combine its contents with the first one or introduce a new portion of the sample – according to the test protocol. Gently shake again and observe the colour change of the solution.
Colour comparison and disposal
Compare the obtained colour with the colour chart supplied with the kit and read the result. After the analysis is complete, dispose of all reagents and remaining sample in accordance with local regulations. Store the kit in a dry and cool place, away from sources of heat and light.
Interpretation of results
-
POSITIVE RESULT: Colour matching the testosterone reference
Means that the solution colour corresponds to the field indicating the presence of testosterone esters on the chart. The analysed sample contains testosterone at a concentration that allows detection.
-
NEGATIVE RESULT: No characteristic colour
The absence of the colour typical of testosterone or the appearance of a colour indicating another substance suggests that no testosterone was detected in the sample within the sensitivity range of the test. The result does not exclude the presence of other anabolic compounds.
-
INVALID RESULT: Atypical reaction or no reaction
If the solution does not change colour, darkens rapidly or reacts in a way inconsistent with the instructions, the test should be considered invalid. The manufacturer recommends repeating the analysis using a new kit and a fresh sample.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- The Testosterone Test we offer is a single-use colorimetric kit intended for the qualitative identification of testosterone esters in oil-based steroid preparations, used as a tool for preliminary verification of their authenticity.
- The kit uses highly sensitive colour reactions characteristic of testosterone esters and has been developed as a screening test. The manufacturer emphasises that, when used correctly, it makes it possible to distinguish samples containing testosterone from falsified samples or those lacking this substance.
- The test is carried out in two stages – the sample reacts successively with reagent A and reagent B. As a result, a colour characteristic of testosterone appears, which should be compared with the colour chart; a colour matching the reference means a positive result, and its absence – a negative result.
- The testosterone test can be used as an independent, rapid test or as a supplement to the complete ROIDTEST™ COMPLETE STEROID TESTING SYSTEM, depending on the user’s needs.
- When working with reagents, it is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles and to avoid contact of the liquids with skin and eyes. The kit should be stored in its original packaging, in a dry and cool place, away from sources of fire and out of the reach of children.
