Molecular formula of the ingredient: C78H111N21O19 - Melanotan-1 (MT-1) is a synthetic peptide belonging to the class of melanocortin receptor agonists, in particular MC1R. This compound is a chemical analogue of the natural hormone alpha-melanotropic hormone (α-MSH), which regulates melanin production in the body. The chemical structure of MT-1 consists of a sequence of 13 amino acids that mimic the action of α-MSH and promote skin pigmentation. Melanotan-1 has been extensively studied in the context of protecting the skin from harmful UV radiation and promoting tanning. In contrast to MT-2, MT-1 mainly acts on the pigmentation process, with no recognisable effects on increasing libido or regulating appetite.
